Wobble Derby
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
Wobble Derby ("the Game") is developed by MAKENZO ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information the Game collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It is specific to Wobble Derby; the studio-wide MAKENZO Games privacy policy covers our website and our other games. The Game is made for a general audience that includes children under 13, so we follow children's-privacy rules (COPPA in the United States, including the FTC's 2025 amendments) and US state rules for players under 18 and collect only the minimum information needed to run the Game.
The short version
- No accounts, no sign-in, no leaderboards, no chat. Every other racer in the Game is computer-controlled. Your progress and settings are stored only on your device, and deleting the Game deletes them.
- Under 13, or age not yet answered: no ads at all, and the advertising software is never started. Ads are shown only to players who have answered that they are 13 or older, and a one-time purchase removes interstitial and banner ads.
- Players aged 13 to 17 only ever see non-personalized (contextual) ads. We flag them to ad partners as age-restricted, do not let the ad software read the device's advertising ID, never ask them for tracking permission, and never sell or share their personal information.
- Players 18 and over may see personalized ads chosen using the device's advertising ID. Under some US state laws this counts as "selling" or "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising. You can turn it off at any time with the Personalized ads switch in Settings (see "Advertising choices" below).
- We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites ourselves.
- The one optional purchase, Remove Ads, is handled by Apple or Google. We never see your payment card, and a parental gate ("grown-up check") appears before the purchase.
- Race clips are made on your device and leave it only if you choose to save or share one.
- The Game has no analytics or crash-reporting software.
Information we collect
Game progress and settings (on your device only):
- Your coins, the wobbler colors you have unlocked, your best finish, the number of derbies you have won, and your sound, vibration, and Personalized ads settings.
- This is stored only on your device. The Game has no accounts, sign-in, leaderboards, chat, or cloud save, and it does not send your progress or settings to us. Deleting the Game deletes them, and we cannot restore them.
Your age group (on your device only):
- The Game asks your age once, on a neutral age screen, the first time you open it. From your answer it works out your age group (under 13, 13 to 17, or 18 and over).
- What you enter is not kept. So that your age group can update as you get older without asking again, the Game stores on your device only the months from which you will certainly be 13 and certainly be 18. If you answer that you are under 13, it also stores a marker that keeps that answer in force until you would turn 13.
- Your answer and these markers never leave your device and are never sent to us or to ad partners. They are used only on your device: to decide whether ads may be shown and how they are delivered, and whether the ad settings and the Remove Ads purchase are offered (players under 13 see no ads, so they are not offered either). Ad partners see only the age-restricted flag described under "Advertising data" below, for players 13 to 17.
Purchase data:
- Whether you have bought "Remove Ads." The purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, which confirm it to the Game; we never see your payment-card details. A parental gate ("grown-up check": typing three digits that are spelled out in words) appears before the purchase.
Race clips:
- After a race, the Game can replay your most dramatic moment as a clip. The clip is made on your device and contains only game footage, a caption, and the Wobble Derby watermark. It contains no personal information.
- A clip leaves your device only if you choose to save it to your photo library or share it through your device's share sheet. When you share a clip, the app or service you choose receives it under its own privacy policy. Clips are not sent to us.
Device permissions:
- Photos: when you choose to save a clip, the Game adds it to your photo library or gallery. Where your device requires permission for that, the Game asks only for permission to add. It never reads your photos.
- Microphone and camera: the Game never uses them and never asks for them.
Advertising data (only for players who have answered that they are 13 or older):
- The Game can show an optional rewarded ad on the results screen ("watch to double your coins"), full-screen interstitial ads between races (never during your first derby, and limited in how often they appear), and a banner on the results screen.
- Ads are delivered through Unity LevelPlay mediation, which runs an auction between ironSource Ads and Unity Ads. Partners receive an approximate location derived from the IP address, device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version), and ad interaction data (which ads were shown, viewed, or tapped), which they use to deliver and measure ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and prevent fraud, under their own privacy policies (Unity, ironSource).
- Players 18 and over: unless you have switched off Personalized ads, partners also receive the device's advertising ID (Google Advertising ID on Android; Apple IDFA on iOS, only if you allow tracking) and use it to personalize ads. This may be a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some US state laws; the Personalized ads switch opts you out. With the switch off, your ad requests are flagged "do not sell or share" and the Game tells the advertising software not to read the advertising ID.
- Players aged 13 to 17: every ad request is flagged as age-restricted and "do not sell or share", and the Game tells the advertising software not to read the advertising ID. Partners may use the information above only to deliver a contextual ad, measure it, cap its frequency, and prevent fraud. We do not sell or share the personal information of players we know are under 18, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
- Players who are under 13, and players who have not yet answered the age question, are never shown ads. The advertising software is not started for them, so no information about them is sent to ad networks.
We do not use analytics or crash-reporting software, and the Game has no accounts or cloud save, so we do not receive your progress, your age answer, or details of how you play. Apple and Google may collect crash and performance data through their own platform services (Apple's crash reporting and Google Play's Android Vitals), under their own privacy policies and your device settings. On iOS, players 18 and over who have not switched off Personalized ads are asked for App Tracking Transparency permission once, the first time an ad would be shown; if you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalized. Players under 18 are never asked.
How we use information
- To run the Game and keep your progress and settings on your device.
- To work out your age group on your device, so the Game can decide whether ads may be shown and how they are delivered.
- To deliver ads to players 13 and over (personalized only for players 18 and over who have not opted out), cap how often they appear, and offer an ad-free purchase.
- To process and restore the Remove Ads purchase.
- To make race clips that you can choose to save or share.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
The Game is intended for a general audience that includes children under 13, and we design it to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), including the FTC's 2025 amendments.
Nothing collected from children. For players under 13, and until the age question has been answered, the Game does not start the advertising software and sends no information about the player to us or to ad partners. Their progress, settings, and age markers stay on the device. We do not collect a name, email address, phone number, location, or advertising ID from them.
No ads for children. Ads are shown only to players who have answered that they are 13 or older. Children under 13 are never shown ads, the advertising software is not started for them, and no advertising ID is ever used for a player who has not answered that they are 13 or older.
No contact with other players. The Game has no accounts, sign-in, leaderboards, chat, or player-made content shared inside the Game, and every other racer is computer-controlled, so children cannot be contacted by, or share personal information with, other players through the Game.
Clips. A saved or shared clip contains only game footage, a caption, and the Wobble Derby watermark. It is saved or shared only when the player chooses to, through the device's own photo library or share sheet.
Purchases. A parental gate ("grown-up check") is shown before the Remove Ads purchase.
Players aged 13 to 17. Teen players may see ads, but those ads are always non-personalized and flagged to ad partners as age-restricted; we never ask teens for tracking permission and never sell or share their personal information. If a player answers the age question as under 13, the Game keeps that answer in force until the player would turn 13.
Because we collect no personal information from children, no parental-consent flow is required; a parent can still contact us at any time with questions. We do not sell children's personal information, and we seek separate consent for any third-party disclosure that is not integral to providing the Game.
Who we share data with (service providers)
We share data only with the providers below, only for the purpose listed, and we do not sell personal information for money.
- Unity Technologies (Unity LevelPlay): ad mediation, only for players 13 and over.
- Ad networks connected through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource Ads and Unity Ads): to serve ads to players 13 and over, measure them, and prevent fraud, under their own policies. They receive the device advertising ID only for players 18 and over who have not switched off Personalized ads.
- Apple / Google: to process the Remove Ads purchase. Their platform services may also collect crash and performance data under their own policies.
Data retention
The Game keeps very little, and we keep none of it ourselves:
- Progress and settings are kept on your device until you delete the Game, which deletes them.
- Age markers are kept on your device only, are never sent to us or to ad partners, and are deleted when you delete the Game.
- Saved clips stay in your photo library until you delete them there. Clips you share are kept by the app or service you shared them with, under its own policy.
- Purchase records are kept by Apple or Google under their own policies, which is what lets "Restore purchases" reinstate Remove Ads.
- Advertising data received by ad partners is kept by them under their own privacy policies (linked above).
Ad partners and Apple / Google may store data on servers located in the United States or other countries.
Your choices and rights
- No account needed: the Game has no accounts and never asks for your name, email address, or other contact details.
- Remove ads: a one-time purchase removes interstitial ads and the banner.
- Advertising choices: see the section below.
- Clips: nothing leaves your device unless you choose to save or share a clip.
- Delete your data: the Game stores your progress and settings only on your device, so deleting the Game deletes them. There is no account to delete, and we hold no copy.
- Access and other rights: because the Game has no accounts and keeps your progress only on your device, we do not hold Wobble Derby progress or account data about you to look up, correct, or delete. Information sent to ad partners is held by them under their own policies; you can contact them through the links above, or contact us and we will help where we can. Depending on where you live (for example, California under the CCPA or another US state privacy law), you may have additional rights, including the right to correct your data, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising (use the Personalized ads switch in Settings), and to appeal a decision about your request.
Advertising choices
Only players who have answered that they are 13 or older see ads. Players 13 to 17 always get non-personalized ads. If you are 18 or over and prefer non-personalized ads:
- In the Game: Settings → Personalized ads → Off. This opts you out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising. It applies from the next time the Game starts (close the Game fully and reopen it to apply it now).
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads) → Delete advertising ID, or turn off Ads personalization.
- iOS: decline the tracking prompt when it appears, or go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and turn it off for Wobble Derby.
- Any device: the one-time Remove Ads purchase removes interstitial ads and the banner; the optional rewarded ad remains available only if you choose to watch it.
- Questions: privacy@makenzogames.com. Because the Game has no accounts, we cannot change this setting for you by email; the switch in Settings applies it on your device.
The Game is not currently offered in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or Brazil.
Parents' rights
If you are a parent or guardian, you have the right to:
- Review the personal information we have collected from your child.
- Request deletion of your child's personal information.
- Refuse further collection or use of your child's information.
For Wobble Derby, we do not collect personal information from children: a child's progress, settings, and age markers stay on the device, and the advertising software is never started for players under 13. You can see your child's progress in the Game and remove it by deleting the Game. To ask a question or make a request, contact us at privacy@makenzogames.com. We will respond within the time required by law.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data protected.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the Game or on this page.
